FAQ

Question: Will there be an opportunity to continue with more advanced class?
Answer: There are other classes for improvers and 'drop in ' classes weekly for 'fun flows' where we have different themes each week and build a different flow each week to master (adding some new level 2 moves too!)
Question: What if I have an injury?
Answer: As with any form of exercise, it is always important to inform your coach of any injuries - past or present, There is a PARQ ( standard readiness questionnaire ) that is supplied which you can read to confirm that you believe that there is no reason why you shouldn’t be partaking in exercise. (there is no need to sign or return this but you must read it and respond with any questions or information you feel will be relevant before starting the classes.
Question: What if I can't do the moves?
Answer: It might seem daunting at first but as always, once you start learning and you become more familiar with the moves it will become more attainable. Also, there are always regressions that can be performed when learning.
Question: How much space do I need?
Answer: Not much at all! Find whatever space you have and we can adapt... providing there is enough room to stretch out on the floor.
Question: Can I do Animal Flow at any age?
Answer: Yes, anybody can join in!
Question: How will Animal Flow help me?
Answer: Animal Flow will help to improve strength, flexibility and coordination.
Question: What do I need to wear?
Answer: Anything comfortable to be able to move freely. Ideally Animal Flow is performed in bare feet.
Question: What equipment do I need?
Answer: A mat is not necessary. If it's an online course - a device to run Zoom on and just your body! ( and some water to drink ).

Testimonials

Stephanie Wood

I have had 121s and group classes in Animal Flow with Jill. It’s clear Jill is passionate and dedicated to the practice and is a generous and encouraging teacher. She is great at spotting how and where you’re not quite getting things right and suggesting adaptations and specific improvements. I’ve really enjoyed delving into the world of AF, and its practitioners come across as a friendly and supportive group, and I hope to keep practicing and benefiting from learning this different way of moving.

Andrea Longden

Jill is an amazing teacher & takes the time to explain & show options so that Animal Flow is suitable & enjoyable for a novice. Jill’s passion & warmth is present at every session.

Sanchia Legister

Jill’s an awesome teacher. Her instructions are clear and she was able to gauge what we needed as a small group and as individuals. I loved the sessions and couldn’t wait to keep building on what we’d learnt each week.

Ellen Whysall

Jill’s passion for Animal flow shines through with every class that I attend. As someone who has struggled with exercise as a whole in the past, I was apprehensive to start learning it! Looking at Jill’s totally effortless, elegant and controlled flows which I had watched on her Instagram, I instantly said to myself “I would never EVER be able to do that…” Alas, nearly one year into attending weekly Animal Flow class’ with Jill I am getting there… my Full Scorpians, Loaded Beasts and the almighty Crocodile Role are all coming along nicely and with Jill’s superb teaching technique I am constantly learning, practising, gaining strength and above all confidence in my ability. All in all, Jill is a super Animal Flow instructor and I would 100% recommend her to anyone, no matter what age or ability she will nurture your skills and develop your skills in beautiful and fun practice of Animal Flow.

Mia Harris (13 years)

I have attended Jill’s animal flow classes since spring 2020. I really enjoy the classes, they are fun and challenging. Jill is a very good teacher, she spots and corrects your mistakes, we learn new flows every week and sometimes Jill ask the students to make up a flow, which is fun. I think animal flow is good for strength, balance and agility which is very helpful for the other sports I do.

Sarah Pritchard

We loved Jill’s animal flow classes. They kept us sane during a challenging time. I noticed I was feeling generally stronger and a badly injured ankle was feeling more flexible and mobile after a few weeks and a little self-practice. Jill’s positive enthusiasm and grounded approach helped me to gain confidence and have fun with it. She is an inspiration! I was surprised what I could do at 53 with her encouragement. Thank you Jill.

Carol Wilson

I took part in Jill’s Animal Flow class because I was really curious to learn more about Animal Flow. I found the classes lots of fun but they also challenged me. Jill is great at explaining the moves and very patient when I wasn’t quite getting it right. Through the course of the classes I found that my upper body strength and my coordination improved. I would most certainly recommend Jill’s Animal Flow classes to anyone looking to try something a little different and to improve their mobility and strength.

Martin Fraser

There’s 100% excellent content in every class, plenty of things covered, always clearly explained, at the same time in a fun and friendly atmosphere. I always come away from a class feeling I’ve learnt new things and learnt them well. It’s great being able to do a long animal flow from callouts and finish it smiling and with a real sense of achievement. This happens a lot.

Jason Grimshaw

Started Animal flow 12 weeks ago, with the aim of trying something new & fun. Certainly, it was going to be very challenging as not the most flexible! Each class is done at a nice pace and you are given at least 1 new move each week which is great. Slowly but surely my strength & flexibility has improved and I have surprised myself at what I have achieved. Would thoroughly recommend.
